It was then followed by the DS version prequel FFCC: Ring of Fates.

Then shortly after was FFCC: Echoes of Time. Also made for the DS, I believe.

Then the newest release titled FFCC: The Crystal Bearers for the Wii just came out recently.

These four games above are the essence of the Crystal Chronicles franchise/offshoot.

I will follow up with a super quick history. Basically, the first release of the 2004 game Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles ended up making it big time, especially for the Nintendo Gamecube game in general. And because of its huge success, Square Enix decided to make more games similar to the offshoot.

Well unfortunately for Square Enix, the future games stopped keeping up the success - a substantial loss was shown with sales, going from over 1 million sales with FFCC to only 600,000 units with the next release with Ring of Fates. And from there the sales went worse with following Echoes of Time, and an even worse plummet with FFCC's newest release The Crystal Bearers.

Honestly I was going to get the newest game myself, but seeing both the negative review on the gameplay and the outrageously high price on the game, I decided against it.

Anyway, the overall idea of this article is to show how such a good, promising offshoot of Final Fantasy ended up falling short of a steady rating.

I hope to goodness that Square Enix can bring back The Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series, because honestly, the first game they made was epic. It could have even been up there with the other general Final Fantasy games.

So, let's hope that they can come up with something that measured up to the 2004 version. No joke.

Honestly, I have the belief that XIII has the potential to redeem the franchise back to what it once was pre-Playstation 2.

The XBox 360 package will sell for $399. It's branded with XIII logo on the 260 Gigabyte hard drive, two controllers, and the game itself. Also a headset and downloadable content is included.

I'll give a summary.
Basically there is this new character, whose name in Yaag Rosch. Supposedly in the game, this character will be Lightning's "rival", and will have a very interesting and "engaging" background. This guy even looks like he could be her father...but, hey. I'm hoping...as for the rest of us are probably also...that these characters will begin to unfold into a deep, inticate game and story that we've been so hoping for.
